Moment Aside --- 18 May 2021
It’s a simple question: “Who is not worthy of the Gospel
message?”
The answer is equally simple: “Everyone.” That’s right. I
don’t know of any person who is fully worthy of the love of God. I know many
who need it and need it desperately. I know many who appear to deserve it, but
I’d bet they’d say “No” if we asked them. Those who are truly close to God are
usually quite humble about it, since they realize the truth.
The truth is this: no one is worthy yet no one is excluded
and that includes…

Sinning people |
People in-between |

Tired people |
Energetic people |
Exhausted people |
|
People who like pudding |
People who hate pudding |
People who eat dessert first |
|
Gay people |
Straight people |
People tired of labels |
|
Angry people |
Weeping people |
Numb people |

Criminal people |
Silly people |
People you don’t know |

Female people |
Male people |
People not deciding |
|
Poor people |
Rich people |
People people |
|
People who don’t fit |
People who don’t like themselves |
People who don’t like you… or me |
If this list shocks you (and me), it’s probably for the best.
The Gospel is shocking because it is unwarranted, undeserved, unimaginable, unaffordable,
and totally found in the grace of God.
And that’s all for the best. Rejoice in that and in God’s
grace.
